Paws and Claws Manawatu

Paws & Claws Manawatu is a family-owned pet store focused on animal welfare, responsible ownership, and education. The team supports customers with guidance on pet setup and ongoing care, encouraging owners of all experience levels to build their knowledge and improve husbandry. The store may decline an animal sale if a proposed enclosure or setup is unsuitable, prioritising each animal’s safety and wellbeing.

Its product range serves fish and aquatic pets, birds, reptiles, small animals, dogs, and cats. Offerings include aquariums and equipment, fish food and live plants, bird cages and enrichment, reptile enclosures and heating, small-animal bedding and toys, and food, treats, grooming supplies, and accessories for dogs and cats. The store also sells live fish, including locally bred, tropical, and cold-water varieties. New Zealand-wide live-fish shipping is available Monday to Wednesday, with insulated packaging and other measures used as needed to support safe transport and minimise stress. Paws & Claws Manawatu presents itself as a welcoming, community-focused store, sharing pet tips and updates and offering free shipping on orders of $100 or more.
