Pawsitism Inc. is a new nonprofit organization based in Sheboygan that focuses on training Autism Assistance Service Dogs for children with autism. We work closely with the families of our clients, providing them with training, education, and fundraising support to help them obtain a service dog that meets their child's needs.
Each family is required to participate in fundraising efforts to contribute to the program's costs, while the rest of the funding is generously provided by our donors. At Pawsitism Inc., we primarily work with Golden Retrievers, Goldendoodles, and Bernedoodles. Our dedicated volunteer Puppy Raisers play a crucial role in raising our puppies for up to 18 months, providing them with basic obedience training, socialization, and care.
Autism Assistance Service Dogs offer remarkable benefits, as they assist individuals on the autism spectrum with daily tasks, prevent wandering, provide a calming presence in overwhelming situations, and offer companionship. Being the only Autism Assistance Service Dog program in the region, we strive to fill a much-needed gap. Join us today and make a difference!
