PAWS New England is a reputable and compassionate brand dedicated to rescuing dogs in need and finding them loving forever homes. Founded in 2005 by three incredible individuals with a shared passion for animal welfare, this organization has come a long way and made a remarkable difference in the lives of countless dogs. It all started when Traci Wood visited the Tipton County Animal Shelter and was deeply moved by the dire situation many dogs faced there.

Determined to make a change, she began taking one dog at a time, providing them with veterinary care and finding adopters in New England. Dr. Kelly Parker and Jo-Anne Hutchinson joined forces with Traci, and together they formed PAWS New England in 2008.

Since then, the organization has grown exponentially, with over 100 dedicated volunteers working tirelessly to save dogs from euthanization. PAWS New England collaborates with veterinary partners, transportation companies, and foster families to ensure the well-being of the dogs in their care. They have expanded their operations to multiple states, including Tennessee, Arkansas, Texas, Missouri, and Louisiana, working diligently to rescue dogs at risk of being euthanized.

By fostering relationships with sister rescues and shelters, PAWS New England is part of a collective effort to save as many lives as possible. However, the journey is not without its challenges. Anti-rescue legislation, rising veterinary and transportation costs, and misconceptions about certain breeds are obstacles that PAWS New England faces.

Nevertheless, the organization remains tenacious in their mission. They believe that every dog deserves a chance at a happy life and strive to match deserving families with loving and adoptable dogs.
