Paws to Remember

Paws to Remember is a family-run pet cremation service based in Canberra, serving the ACT and surrounding districts. Founded by people who understand the close bond between pets and their families, the business provides private, respectful care and returns only your pet’s remains to you. Its local service uses alkaline hydrolysis, a water-based alternative to flame cremation, in which each pet is processed individually in a sealed chamber. The company describes the process as gentle and environmentally conscious, noting that it produces no harmful greenhouse gas emissions and has a smaller carbon footprint than flame-based cremation.

Paws to Remember offers services for pocket pets, cats, dogs and rabbits, with prices based on an animal’s type and weight. Families can choose a standard package with a scatter tube or box, or select an urn, timber box with plaque, photo box or brass paw box. Jewellery and crystal keepsakes, each designed to hold a small amount of ashes, are also available.
