About Paygent
Paygent is a payment assistant from Introspective Labs, Inc., designed to help AI agents make payments securely while keeping people in control of their funds. Its self-custody smart wallets use passkey-based signing protected by the device’s Secure Enclave, with Touch ID or Face ID for approval. Agents can operate within configurable spending limits; requests that exceed those limits require authorization through a mobile app.
The service combines ERC-4337 account abstraction with Safe smart accounts and Pimlico bundling to support gasless transactions and batched operations. It enables payments through the x402 protocol and is USDC-native, with per-token controls for managing agent spending. Wallets can be deployed across Base, Optimism, Arbitrum, and other EVM chains with RIP-7212 support.
Paygent integrates with AI assistants through the Model Context Protocol. Users can install a Claude Desktop extension, set up the command-line wallet, or configure supported tools including Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, Codex, and Gemini CLI. The site lists macOS availability, with Windows and Linux described as coming soon.
