早產兒基金會

The Premature Baby Foundation of Taiwan is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving care and support for premature infants and their families. Established in January 1992 through an initiative involving Mackay Memorial Hospital and private-sector partners, the foundation works to help premature babies receive appropriate medical care and to improve the quality of neonatal services. It provides medical assistance for eligible infants during hospitalization and after discharge, including support for medical equipment and home-visit services.

The foundation also contributes medical equipment to neonatal units at partner hospitals and offers follow-up examinations for very-low-birth-weight infants after they leave hospital. Beyond direct assistance, it supports premature-infant community services, promotes awareness and prevention of premature birth, and shares educational information on high-risk pregnancy, preterm-related conditions, and available social welfare resources. It also provides training for healthcare teams and organizes educational activities and family gatherings.

Through these programs, the foundation seeks to give premature infants and their families practical help, reliable knowledge, and encouragement throughout the journey from birth to ongoing care
