Palm Beach North Athletic Foundation

The Palm Beach North Athletic Foundation is a nonprofit organization working with the City of Palm Beach Gardens and community partners to develop an indoor ice sports facility in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Guided by a vision of “recreation for all,” the foundation aims to expand access to winter sports, support youth development, and strengthen community connections across South Florida. Its proposed programs include hockey, figure skating, public ice skating, curling, and sled hockey, with opportunities intended for people of different ages and abilities.

Planned for Plant Drive Park, the facility is designed to include two NHL-size rinks, locker rooms, academy space, a performance center, multipurpose and community rooms, and dedicated medical space. Visitors would also have access to concessions, a restaurant, retail areas for athletic gear and sport-specific equipment, and spaces overlooking the rinks. The foundation plans to work with youth-serving nonprofits and sports organizations to broaden participation. It also envisions hosting regional, national, and international events, while supporting local recreation and businesses.
