PBI Research Inst.

The PBI Foundation is a non-profit research foundation established in 2001 to support and promote research and knowledge development in business and industrial management. Its particular focus is industrial project business and industry. The foundation aims to encourage work that follows a scientific approach and is conducted on a non-profit basis, with findings of general interest made available through publication.

To advance this mission, the PBI Foundation provides support for doctoral students, book publications, conference participation and research programmes related to project business. It also offers opportunities to apply for grants and administers the SIAR special fund and the PBI Prize, with information available about previous prize winners. The foundation shares details about its history, activities and board, and provides publications and financial support information through its website. Based in Turku and Helsinki, the PBI Foundation is led by a board whose members bring experience in engineering, business, law and academia. Its work is directed toward creating and implementing new knowledge in its areas of interest.
