PEAC

The Parrot Education & Adoption Center (PEAC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, all-volunteer organization based in San Diego, California. It is dedicated to educating current and prospective bird owners about the proper care of companion parrots while helping parrots in need. Through its rescue and adoption work, PEAC cares for relinquished parrots and connects them with homes.

The organization invites people to view parrots available for adoption and learn about its adoption process, and also encourages fostering. Foster homes provide a loving environment for rehabilitation and help prepare parrots for permanent homes. PEAC supports its mission through public education, classes, and resources on companion bird care.

Community members can contribute by volunteering, becoming members, or making donations, which help fund parrot rescue, care, and education. The center shares news and updates through its mailing list and social media, and provides information for people interested in adopting, fostering, volunteering, or learning more about parrot care
