About Peace Labs
Peace Labs (مختبرات السلام) is a non-profit organization founded in 2012 with the aim of advancing peace work in the Middle East. They take a systemic and systematic approach to conflict, addressing the root causes and adopting long-term programming to mitigate conflicts and strengthen social cohesion within and between communities. Peace Labs focuses on three main pillars to advance peacebuilding efforts in the region.
Firstly, they facilitate dialogue and peace mediation, helping communities engage in constructive conversations to prevent and resolve conflicts. Secondly, they design and implement localized community projects that promote knowledge, skills, and attitudes for conflict prevention, peaceful conflict resolution, and creating conditions for peace. Lastly, Peace Labs conducts peace research and reflective practices, continuously assessing and enhancing their processes and projects.
By collaborating and creating synergies with local players, adopting a co-read and co-learn model, hosting workshops and facilitating dialogues, and conducting critical reflection on efforts, Peace Labs is committed to making a meaningful impact in the MENA region.
