Peaceful with Horses

EQUIscan Danmark provides independent equine back measurements and saddle-fit checks in Denmark and northern Germany. Using the EQUIscan Topograph PRO, the service records a horse’s back in three dimensions, stores the measurements digitally and allows them to be repeated and compared over time. This creates a documented reference for assessing changes related to training, breaks, rehabilitation, illness, age or weight fluctuations.

The measurements can be compared with a horse’s current, older or prospective used saddle, helping owners make informed decisions without pressure to buy: the provider does not sell saddles and offers a neutral assessment. Checks are intended for new, used and existing saddles, across different saddle types and disciplines. Repeat measurements can also help determine whether a saddle that previously fitted remains suitable as the horse changes.

EQUIscan data may support communication with saddle makers or manufacturers and inform targeted saddle or tree adjustments. The approach considers saddle fit as a relationship between horse, saddle and rider, while recognising that the system measures the horse’s back rather than evaluating how the rider sits.
