About PeaceParksFoundation
Peace Parks Foundation is a brand dedicated to the protection and restoration of critical ecosystems. Their mission is to establish, renew, and preserve large functional ecosystems that transcend man-made boundaries. They work closely with governments to secure protected land and develop transboundary conservation areas.
The foundation is actively involved in the establishment and development of ten transfrontier conservation areas (TFCAs) across southern Africa. These TFCAs encompass protected areas as well as multiple resource use areas, creating a network of interconnected habitats. This complex process involves partnerships between governments and the private sector and can take many years to achieve.
Peace Parks Foundation also focuses on community engagement and sustainable use of natural resources. They empower communities to benefit from conservation efforts and develop nature-based tourism and enterprise opportunities. With their dedication to connected conservation and commitment to preserving biodiversity, Peace Parks Foundation is an African success story that ensures peace, prosperity, and stability for generations to come
