Pearl Zimmerman

Pearl Zimmerman, M.D., is a California physician whose practice focused on functional medicine and a personalized, whole-body approach to health. She describes wellness as supporting physical, mental, and spiritual vitality, and her approach seeks underlying contributors to symptoms rather than treating symptoms alone. Drawing on medical training and personal experience with complex health challenges, Dr. Zimmerman developed a practice centered on detailed assessments, testing, and individualized treatment plans.

Her services have included evaluation and care for allergies and chemical, environmental, and food sensitivities; digestive disorders; fatigue and insomnia; cardiovascular risk; brain health and Alzheimer’s prevention; and wellness and healthy aging. Depending on a patient’s needs, the practice has offered testing for infections, toxic exposures, nutritional deficiencies, hormone levels, and genetic variations, along with tailored dietary, supplement, and gut-healing recommendations. Other offerings have included bioidentical hormone therapy and peptide therapy. The practice has served patients in Newport Beach and San Juan Capistrano, California. Dr. Zimmerman is now retired from clinical practice and is available only to mentor select functional medicine providers.
