Pecan Hill Kennel is a family-owned dog boarding and training business in Pattison, Texas, serving clients since 1986. Located on 50 acres of countryside just outside Houston, the kennel offers a welcoming setting and services for dogs with a range of needs and goals. Boarding options include short-term, long-term, and special-circumstance stays. Training services cover obedience as well as hunting and conditioning, supporting owners seeking a well-mannered companion or a capable hunting dog.
Founder Pete Thuman built the kennel around his passion for dogs and developed a career training dogs in hunting, obedience, and field trials. His family and the Pecan Hill team continue that work, drawing on a combined experience of more than 130 years among caretakers, trainers, and animal enthusiasts. The team works with dogs of different breeds, sizes, and specialties, helping clients pursue their individual goals. Pecan Hill Kennel is located on FM 1458 Road in Pattison/Brookshire, Texas, and is closed on Wednesdays and Sundays.
