Fédération Nationale de la Pêche en France

The Var Federation for Fishing and the Protection of Aquatic Environments is a departmental organization serving anglers and supporting the care of aquatic habitats in France’s Var region. It connects local fishing associations and provides practical information for residents and visitors who want to fish responsibly. Its services include fishing permits, night carp fishing reservations, an interactive fishing map, webcams and information on regulations and fishing locations.

Anglers can also find accommodation and tackle-shop listings, guidance on fishing techniques and fish species, and details about seasonal openings and activities such as trolling. The federation supports learning through nature-based fishing workshops, events, clubs, quizzes, and information about fishing guides and instructors. Its conservation work covers aquatic environments, fisheries enforcement, studies, habitat projects, and invasive species.

The organization reports 900 kilometres of waterways, 3,500 hectares of lakes and ponds, 24 affiliated associations, and 12,000 local anglers. Through its resources and local network, the federation helps people discover fishing in the Var while encouraging protection of the waters and ecosystems on which it depends
