The Piedmont Environmental Council (PEC) is an organization dedicated to protecting and restoring the lands and waters of the Virginia Piedmont, while also building stronger and more sustainable communities. With offices in Warrenton, VA, and throughout a nine-county region including Albemarle and Charlottesville, Clarke, Culpeper, Fauquier, Greene, Loudoun, Madison, Orange, and Rappahannock counties, PEC works closely with local organizations to promote thriving communities and healthy natural resources in a larger region. PEC's mission is to conserve land, create thriving communities, strengthen rural economies, celebrate historic resources, protect air and water quality, build smart transportation networks, promote sustainable energy choices, restore wildlife habitat, and improve people's access to nature.
