Barnelegeforeningen

Norsk Barnelegeforening, or the Norwegian Paediatric Association, is a professional organisation for paediatricians in Norway. It shares news, professional resources and opportunities for members to connect and develop their practice. The association hosts Pediaterdagene, a paediatrics meeting scheduled for Stavanger on 20–22 January 2027, and provides information about registration and related events.

Its member publication, Paidos, is sent to members and is also available by subscription to non-members. Articles featured in Paidos cover clinical care and collaboration, including treatment options for children with severe constipation, enhanced recovery protocols in neonatal surgery, and coordination between paediatricians and primary care services. The association also highlights the National Competence Network for Medicines to Children and promotes weekly national teaching sessions online through Teams.

Its website publishes current announcements, meeting notices, consultation information and association updates, and offers the Norwegian Paediatric Association’s climate poster. Led by its president, the association provides contact channels for enquiries and feedback, supporting communication among paediatric professionals and sharing knowledge relevant to children’s health
