Peeshi ry

Peeshi ry is a Finnish animal welfare and protection association founded by people united by a commitment to helping animals. Its work brings together animal-care professionals and volunteers, with the aim of building a society where animals can thrive. The association rescues animals in distress, provides care and time for recovery, and helps find new homes for pets entrusted to it. It also advises owners on pet care and wellbeing.

Peeshi ry offers several ways to get involved. Volunteers can help with animal care, transport and rescue, events, fundraising, or by providing a foster home. The association also welcomes members and donations, which support its work alongside membership fees, partner support, and possible grants. Visitors can meet the animals and learn about the association during its open-house events. Peeshi is a distinctive name with a connection to animals: the association says it comes from Persian, where it means a cute cat.
