PegasCon

PegasCon is a fan-led festival of fantasy, games and pop culture held in Prešov, Slovakia. Organised by the PegasCon civic association, it brings together readers, gamers, creators and curious visitors for a three-day programme, from Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon. The festival began as a gathering of fantasy readers and gamers and was revived in 2013 by a group associated with the Abarat fantasy teahouse; since 2017, it has run for three days.

Its events include talks and discussions on subjects ranging from film and literature to history and technology, alongside workshops in areas such as storyboarding, 3D printing, origami and miniature painting. Visitors can join tabletop and role-playing games, beginner-friendly Dungeons & Dragons sessions, tournaments and retro gaming, with consoles spanning the NES to PlayStation 3. PegasCon also presents an original play by its own theatre group, quizzes, children’s activities, a flea market and a festival-wide game.
