is a volunteer organization serving communities across Abruzzo, with five operational locations in the provinces of Chieti and Pescara. Founded in 1982, it brings together volunteers to provide healthcare and social assistance, emergency response, and practical support for local residents. Its services include ambulance transport and transport for people with mobility disabilities, as well as medical and logistical assistance at public events, major gatherings, and sporting activities.

PEGASO also works in civil protection, supporting prevention, emergency response, and assistance to affected communities in coordination with public institutions and other organizations. Education is another key part of its mission: it offers public courses and awareness activities covering first aid, BLSD, pediatric emergency care, civil protection, and local risks. The organization promotes Universal Civil Service and youth participation, and welcomes prospective volunteers from age 16, with trained adults undertaking emergency duties.
