Pegasus Sanctuary

Pegasus Sanctuary is a registered charity and Association Loi 1901 based in rural Normandy, France. Founded more than 15 years ago by Felicity Taylor, the sanctuary rescues horses, ponies, and donkeys in need and provides them with a safe, lifelong home. It has saved more than 100 equines, and its current focus is caring for elderly residents so they can live with comfort, safety, and dignity. The sanctuary reports having 24 equines in its care, including Danny, an older donkey in his thirties.

Pegasus Sanctuary provides ongoing essentials such as hay, feed, veterinary care, medication, and supplements. Supporters can sponsor a resident, helping cover daily running costs and the specific care animals depend on. The organisation also welcomes donations and enquiries from people interested in its work. Visitors can contact the sanctuary through its website, Facebook, email, or telephone. Located in Dangy, Normandy, Pegasus Sanctuary continues its work despite the health challenges faced by its founder, relying on community support to care for its rescued animals.
