Pegasus & Co is a horsemanship and disability support provider based in Wilton, near Picton. Its work is centred on helping people build safe, confident and respectful relationships with horses through natural horsemanship. The organisation welcomes new horse owners, horse lovers and people seeking support for additional needs, offering a calm learning environment away from the bustle of city life.

Lessons are tailored to each person’s goals, experience and pace. Participants can learn practical skills such as approaching and interacting with horses safely, fitting halters, tying, grooming, caring for horses, lunging and walking. Teaching also focuses on understanding how horses think and communicate, with the aim of developing connection, confidence and sound horse management.

As a registered NDIS provider, Pegasus & Co also teaches horsemanship to people with disabilities. Working with a horse as a focal point can support confidence, communication, self-esteem, happiness and fitness. The team can adapt lessons to areas where a participant wants to improve their skills or confidence.
