PegasusXI is a community-driven Final Fantasy XI private server offering a retail-like Vana’diel experience at level 99. It aims to preserve the original game’s combat mechanics, spell interactions, and content tuning while adding quality-of-life features such as faster travel, inventory management, and party tools. Players can adventure from level 1 through Chains of Promathia, which is currently the server’s most complete content era.

Later expansions, with Rise of the Zilart through Seekers of Adoulin as the stated destination, are in development and will be released as they become ready. The server supports missions, jobs, and CoP-era challenges, with later endgame content still being built. PegasusXI also offers a launcher that connects players to the server, manages updates, and supports addons, alongside website tools for activities such as rankings, item searches, and tracking.

The project describes its community as active and welcoming, with events, linkshell activities, and groups forming. Regular development work includes updates, bug fixes, and new content
