PEiPL

Philosophical Engagement in Public Life (PEiPL) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to making philosophical thinking accessible and engaging in everyday life. Founded in 2017, it brings together philosophers, educators and curious community members to cultivate thoughtful, caring communities. PEiPL’s work helps people, particularly children, build critical and creative thinking, communication and social skills, and supports them in becoming lifelong learners and active participants in society.

Its programs include public lectures and discussions with internationally renowned philosophers, creating opportunities to explore issues in ethics, culture and society. Eurekamp Oz! offers activity-based holiday camps for children aged 5–14, using playful learning to encourage curiosity, creativity and thoughtful engagement. PEiPL also provides professional development to help teachers bring philosophy into their classrooms.

In partnership with Constable Care Foundation and Curtin University’s Centre for Applied Ethics, PEiPL is developing Imagineers, immersive school holiday programs for children aged 5–13. The organization also invites people to volunteer, partner, donate and contribute ideas as it develops new activities to keep its community connected and engaged.
