Pellon Motor Club is a motorsports club based in Pello, Finland, bringing together people interested in motor sports from the town and surrounding villages. It was officially founded on 16 November 1981, when nearly forty enthusiasts attended its founding meeting at Ula-bar, also known locally as Helkun baari. The club joined Finland’s motorcycling federation as part of its establishment.
Pellon Motor Club organizes and supports motorsport events, including track and ice-racing competitions. Its first race, the Joppari event, took place at Ritavalkea in 1984, and the club later held its first Poikkinaintiajot there. Ice-track racing also began at Jolmanputhaa. The club has hosted major competitions, including general-class Finnish Championship events in 1994 and 2009, a women’s and youth championship in 2004, and the JM SM League final in 2023 at Kittisvaara. Its website shares club news and information about Poikkinaintiajot and watercross, and invites visitors to get in touch or join as members.
