PEMETE, also known as the Panhellenic Association of Processors - Standardizers - Exporters of Table Olives, is a non-profit organization established in 1970. As an entity dedicated to serving and protecting the interests of olive processing, standardization, and trading (distribution/export) of Greek table olive varieties, PEMETE holds the knowledge that olive oil is recognized as a National Product. The association actively represents its members in both national and international authorities and organizations, ensuring their collective voice is heard.

With the increasingly competitive nature of global markets, PEMETE's role in the trading and export of table olives becomes ever more crucial. Today, PEMETE's members represent over 95% of Greek table olive exports. In addition to its representation function, PEMETE is responsible for various national, European, and third-country programs.

To address the challenges faced by Greek exporters of table olive products in current trading conditions, PEMETE has pioneered the establishment of a national Taste Panel. This panel plays a crucial role in the sensory evaluation of the final product's quality and safety attributes, ensuring its overall success
