PeMSAA-UK is the UK branch of the Peradeniya Medical Students Alumni Association, bringing together alumni and teaching staff from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Peradeniya. It is a charitable, non-political organisation that values equality and diversity and has no religious affiliation. Its mission is to connect UK-based alumni and support the welfare and development of their medical faculty through shared knowledge, skills and practical assistance.

The association supports medical education through student awards, bursaries and research funding. Its Prof. Jayasena Student Bursary assists a medical student with limited means, while the annual Pharmacology Award recognises strong academic performance. The Gunarathne Research Grant helps Peradeniya medical students undertake proof-of-concept research. PeMSAA-UK also promotes the faculty’s student elective programme and organises academic events, social gatherings, charity walks and fundraising galas. These activities bring alumni and friends together while raising support for medical education in Sri Lanka.
