About Penang Infra
Penang Infrastructure Corporation (PIC) is a special purpose vehicle established by the Penang Government to oversee the implementation of the Penang Transport Master Plan (PTMP). Their vision is to create resilient developments and transport infrastructure that position Penang as a leading state. This includes crucial components like the Bayan Lepas Light Rail Transit (LRT), Pan Island Link highways, major roads, the Third Link, and the Penang South Islands.
With a focus on sustainable growth, PIC aims to transform Penang into a vibrant hub. PIC is led by a board consisting of Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow, State Secretary Dato’ Dr. Ahmad Jailani Bin Mohamed Yunus, State Infrastructure and Transport Committee chair YB Zairil Khir Johari, and CEO Dato’ Seri Farizan Bin Darus.
With his 36 years of civil service experience, Farizan helms the operations as CEO. Through their comprehensive plan, PIC is paving the way for a better tomorrow, bringing together transportation, infrastructure, and development to shape Penang's future
