Peninsula Jiu Jitsu

Peninsula Jiu Jitsu is a family-focused Brazilian Jiu Jitsu studio serving the Palos Verdes Peninsula from its location in Rolling Hills Estates, California. Founded in 2021 by second-degree black belt Brian Phillips and his wife, Nicole, the studio is part of the Gracie Allegiance team created by Clark Gracie. Its approach bridges traditional Gracie Jiu Jitsu with modern sport techniques, welcoming students from early childhood through adulthood.

Programs include Mini Groms classes for ages 3.5 to 5, Groms and Jr. Teens for ages 6 to 11, and a performance-focused Teens program for ages 12 to 17. Adult classes offer beginner-friendly fundamentals and more advanced technical training, with sparring suited to each class. The studio also provides private lessons tailored to individual needs and hosts workshops with guest instructors throughout the year.

Instruction is led by experienced Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practitioners, including Brian Phillips, adult head instructor Menamy Mitanes, and a team of kids’ instructors. The facility features two mat areas, a lobby, bathrooms, a shower, and designated parking.
