Penn-Del AER is the Pennsylvania-Delaware chapter of the Association for Education and Rehabilitation of the Blind and Visually Impaired (AER), an international membership organization supporting professionals who serve blind and visually impaired children and adults. The chapter promotes professional excellence by supporting those who provide services to people with visual impairments and contributing to the wider vision community.
Through its website and chapter activities, Penn-Del AER connects members with organizational information, board and membership updates, committees, bylaws, strategic planning resources, and professional development opportunities. These include an annual conference, a leadership series, and materials from past conferences. The site also shares announcements, legislative resources, information about BANA and Unified English Braille (UEB), and AER’s Code of Ethics. Penn-Del AER is planning its 2027 conference for April 21–23 under the theme “Shaping Our Shared Future: Voices, Advocacy, and Action.” It also invites students with visual impairments to submit artwork for the conference logo.
