The Notary’s Statistical Portal is a free public platform developed by Spain’s General Council of the Notariat. It provides reliable, regularly updated information about the Spanish housing market, based on real estate sales authorized before a notary. Through an interactive map, users can explore transaction data at national, regional, provincial, municipal and postal-code levels, or define a custom search area where sufficient data is available. Statistics include average prices per square metre, average property size, average total price and the number of transactions, with confidentiality protected.

The Portal helps people make informed decisions when buying or selling a home. Its practical guides explain relevant steps, documents and taxes, while online utilities include mortgage and affordability calculations and information on finding a notary. Visitors can also access property-market news and analysis. Free registration is optional and unlocks more detailed statistical queries, report downloads and a private area for saving searches, results and preferences. For professionals, the Portal offers tailored information, historical data and analyses suited to specific needs.
