About The Pensions Authority
The Pensions Authority is a statutory body established under the Pensions Act, 1990, with the goal of regulating and supervising compliance with the Act's requirements. They play a vital role in fostering public confidence in pensions by overseeing trustees of occupational pension schemes, trust RACs, PRSA providers, registered administrators, and employers. The Authority investigates suspected breaches, conducts on-site inspections and compliance audits, and takes necessary actions, including prosecutions and sanctions, to rectify any violations of the Act.
