Livius Penter

Penter Lab is a research group at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin focused on the evolving relationship between cancer and the immune system. Working at the intersection of large-scale single-cell genomics and tumor immunology, the lab investigates how immune cells influence malignant transformation, why immune control can fail in cancer, and how it might be restored through immunotherapy. Its research uses large-scale single-cell genomics approaches to examine interactions between tumor cells and immune cells, with a particular focus on blood malignancies.

By studying these cellular relationships in detail, Penter Lab aims to identify and develop strategies for novel immunotherapies that could help regain control over tumors. The lab shares information about its research projects and team, publishes updates through its blog, and invites people interested in its work to explore opportunities to join. Penter Lab’s work brings genomic analysis and cancer immunology together to address questions about disease development and immune-based treatment, within the research environment of Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin
