up Penyffordd Run Club

Penyffordd Run Club is a friendly, social running club based in Penyffordd, Flintshire, near Chester. Affiliated with Welsh Athletics since 2017, the club welcomes people of all abilities, from beginners to experienced runners, and offers a supportive way to exercise, meet others and enjoy running together.

Members meet throughout the week for varied sessions and distances. Regular runs take place on Monday and Wednesday evenings, with groups covering three to five miles at different paces, and Saturday morning options of six or ten miles. The schedule also includes interval training, monthly hill repeats, track sessions and a monthly Sunday social run of eight to ten miles at locations around North Wales and Cheshire, often followed by breakfast. Additional informal runs are organised by members.

The club provides route information for five-, eight- and ten-kilometre runs, along with guidance for new members and support from experienced run leaders. Members seeking to improve can receive motivation and tailored advice, while those looking for a sociable outing can enjoy conversation and camaraderie.
