PeopleFinder. com, powered by Intelius, is a people-search service that helps users look for information using a person’s name, phone number, or address. Its search tools bring together public-record information from federal, state, and local sources, presenting findings in one place.

Depending on the available records, a search may reveal contact details, current or previous addresses, social media profiles, location history, relationships, photos, employment history, business details, professional licenses, property information, and civil or criminal records. The service also offers phone number lookup and address lookup, with results that may include information about an owner, neighbors, or local crime statistics. PeopleFinder describes its service as designed to help people reconnect with loved ones and learn more about people in their lives, while stating that searches do not notify the person being searched.

The company emphasizes customer privacy and provides privacy notices and options for managing personal data. PeopleFinder states that it is not a consumer reporting agency and that its information must not be used for decisions covered by the Fair Credit Reporting Act, such as hiring, housing, credit, or insurance
