People for Cats is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization based in Falmouth, Massachusetts. Dedicated to the welfare of cats, this organization operates a no-kill shelter serving the towns of Falmouth, Bourne, and Mashpee. Their mission is threefold: finding loving homes for adoptable stray and surrendered cats and kittens, reducing the stray and feral cat population through spaying and neutering, and educating the public about responsible cat care and ownership.

Since its establishment in 1993, People for Cats has been committed to serving the community. Initially, volunteers opened their own homes to shelter abandoned and homeless cats. In 2003, they finally achieved their dream of having a permanent facility when they opened their first no-kill shelter.

Their current shelter, completed in 2011, spans 2,500 sq. It features three separate cat suites with outdoor pens, a holding room, a self-sufficient quarantine room, and a special space for kittens up for adoption from foster homes.
