PeppermintPurple is a brand created by Clare Ardali, a designer with a passion for mathematics and creativity. Despite having a background in maths and working in investment banking for many years, Clare discovered her love for cross stitch and blackwork during a work trip to Stockholm. Inspired by her newfound hobby, Clare began designing and selling papercut templates on Etsy in 2014.
However, it was a request from a stranger to turn one of her papercut designs into a cross stitch pattern that sparked the birth of PeppermintPurple as it is today. Clare's addiction to blackwork led her to create unique designs that combine both cross stitch and blackwork elements. In 2017, Clare made the brave decision to leave her job and fully dedicate herself to PeppermintPurple.
The brand's name, Peppermint Purple, was inspired by a local florist's name and came to be through chance and availability of URLs. Today, PeppermintPurple offers a wide range of designs and patterns for cross stitch and blackwork enthusiasts. Clare also runs three Facebook groups where members can connect, share their creativity, and find inspiration.
