The Associação do Perdigueiro Português (APP) is an association dedicated to the Portuguese Pointer, bringing together members and others interested in the breed. It shares information about the dog’s history and characteristics through its breed standard and association resources, and supports activities related to training, working trials and breed events.

The APP organizes monographic shows and publishes information about hunting-dog competitions, including trials for pointing dogs and Saint Hubert events. Its website provides regulations, activity plans, event updates and registration forms, as well as information for people wishing to become members. Visitors can also find details about training fields, cooperative agreements and litter announcements, including guidance on the association’s litter-rating and registration procedures.

The association offers products through its APP articles section and presents news, educational material and a gallery of images. It also shares information relevant to members, including a notice about free hip dysplasia screening offered through a cooperation protocol with the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro.
