Fundación Pérez Scremini

Fundación Pérez Scremini is a Uruguayan nonprofit dedicated to curing cancer in children and adolescents. It manages the pediatric hematology-oncology service at Hospital Pereira Rossell and aims to ensure that every young patient in Uruguay can access personalized, high-quality care free of charge. Its services include medical consultations, diagnostic studies, medicines, hospitalization, food, transportation, and psychosocial support for patients and their families.

The foundation treats children and adolescents aged 0 to 18, welcoming more than 1,400 patients each year, many from outside Montevideo. It reports that eight out of ten patients recover and provides care through a multidisciplinary team of 160 professionals. A nationwide volunteer network of more than 300 people also helps accompany patients and families.

The organization raises funds and invites public support through donations, monthly memberships, legacies, business partnerships, fundraising events, and initiatives such as raffles and charity runs. It also shares news, annual reports, and information about its work, while organizing activities that engage communities across Uruguay in supporting childhood and adolescent cancer care
