About Fundación enseñARTE
Fundación enseñARTE, formerly known as Performing Life, is a non-profit organization based in Cochabamba, Bolivia. Established in 2006, the foundation aims to improve the lives of children and adolescents living and working on the streets through arts education and creative programs. Recognizing the pressing needs of these marginalized youth, founder John Connell started Performing Life after his personal encounter with the harsh conditions they face.
The organization believes that by offering music, circus arts, and various artistic workshops, youth can find positive ways to express themselves and create a brighter economic future. Currently, Fundación enseñARTE provides four Circus Arts classes, music classes with a recording studio, a micro-enterprise fund, and additional workshops in theater, dance, photography, dental care, and more. These programs, along with free daily meals and school support classes, help empower the participants and provide social and economic opportunities for hundreds of street youth and families.
With a focus on youth reintegration, social development, and protection against dangers of street life, Fundación enseñARTE is committed to creating better futures for children and youth in Cochabamba. By showcasing their artistic skills, the organization seeks to promote social change and community development
