Perhekoti Vita

Perhekoti Vita is a professional family home established in 2018 in Eriksnäs, Sipoo, near the coast. This small, home-like child welfare placement unit has four places and provides children with a safe setting for everyday family life alongside dependable, consistent adults. Daily life is built around a clear schedule and predictable routines, including regular meals, rest, daycare or school, outdoor activities, and time together.

Vita’s approach is trauma-informed and grounded in attachment-based, rehabilitative care. Calm interaction, attentive adult presence, and structured routines are central to helping children feel secure and supporting their wellbeing, emotional skills, and self-regulation. The home also considers the needs of children with neurodevelopmental symptoms, using structured approaches and individual forms of support.

Perhekoti Vita works openly and closely with children’s parents and other loved ones, social services, schools or daycare centres, and other partners. Its aims are to strengthen children’s wellbeing and ability to manage daily life, support families, and promote family reunification when this is in the child’s best interests.
