Perinatal Psychiatric Wellness

Perinatal Psychiatric Wellness is an online telepsychiatry and telehealth practice serving adults in California and Minnesota. Led by Dr. Mehr Karamat, a board-certified general adult psychiatrist and perinatal mental health-certified clinician, the practice provides mental health care for women and men across adulthood, with a special focus on women’s mental health during the perinatal period. Dr. Karamat has practiced in both states since completing residency in 2015 and has held faculty positions at psychiatry residency programs in Minnesota and California.

Services include psychiatric diagnostic evaluations, ongoing medication management, and extended visits that combine psychotherapy with medication management. The practice offers a free initial phone introduction lasting five to ten minutes and accepts insurance. Conditions treated include depression, postpartum depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, panic disorder, PTSD, OCD, PMDD, psychotic disorders, and ADHD. Care is available to adults aged 18 and older, including LGBTQ+ patients, with an emphasis on fear-free psychiatric care. The practice also provides general and perinatal mental health resources.
