About Perinatal Wellbeing Canterbury
Perinatal Wellbeing Canterbury is dedicated to promoting the mental health of parents within the first 2,000 days of pregnancy to 5 years postpartum. Our values of Manaaki, Stronger Together, and Integrity guide our mission of supporting parents experiencing mental health challenges related to pregnancy, childbirth, and parenting. We provide a range of services, including support for perinatal mental illnesses, postnatal anxiety and depression, and perinatal depression in fathers.
Our focus is on fostering collaboration with Maori and diverse communities to ensure culturally appropriate care. With a background rooted in community support, our organization, formerly known as Postnatal Depression Canterbury, has evolved to better reflect our commitment to perinatal mental health.
