The Gaitis - Simosi Museum, located on the picturesque island of Ios, celebrates the artistic legacies of renowned Greek artists Giannis Gaitis and Gabriella Simosi. Established through a collaboration between the Municipality of Ios and Loretta Gaitis, the museum officially opened its doors on September 14, 2024, with a grand inauguration led by Greece's President and other dignitaries. The museum's striking architectural design, conceived by Loretta Gaitis and Jacques Charrat, spans 1,600 square meters and features panoramic views of the Aegean Sea.

With a commitment to showcasing the diverse works of its namesakes, the museum boasts a permanent collection that includes paintings, sculptures, and installations, organized across two main buildings. Additional facilities host temporary exhibitions, educational programs, and community events, fostering an inclusive environment for art appreciation. The vision of the museum extends beyond preservation; it aims to engage visitors while highlighting the cultural significance of Gaitis' and Simosi's contributions to the art world, both nationally and internationally.
