Perkins Trust

Perkins Trust, in partnership with the Aurora Education Foundation, is dedicated to providing opportunities for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Australians to pursue their dreams through higher education. Established in 2009, the Trust offers the prestigious Charlie Perkins Scholarships for postgraduate study at the University of Oxford and the University of Cambridge. These scholarships, honoring the late Dr Charlie Perkins, the first Aboriginal person in Australia to graduate from university, aim to support talented individuals in becoming leaders in their fields and communities.

The Trust has paved the way for Indigenous Australians by opening doors to prestigious universities that were previously unimagined. Since its inception, the Trust has empowered 27 Charlie Perkins Scholars to pursue full-time studies at Oxford or Cambridge. With 17 of them having already graduated, their remarkable journeys can be explored on the Trust's website.

While originating from the Charlie Perkins Trust for Children and Students, the Perkins Trust now operates independently, committed to shaping a brighter future through education. Consider supporting this noble cause and be a part of transforming lives
