Permalink Manager is a WordPress plugin developed by Maciej Bis that gives website owners greater control over their URLs without requiring code. Used on more than 100,000 active websites, it helps users customize permalink structures for posts, pages, custom post types, and taxonomies, as well as edit the full URL of individual items from the WordPress dashboard. A bulk editor makes it possible to review and update multiple URLs together.
The plugin can remove rewrite bases, parent slugs, and unwanted numeric suffixes, or add elements such as taxonomy terms, custom fields, and file extensions. It supports custom-field integrations including ACF, Pods, JetEngine, and Toolset Types, and works with the WPML and Polylang multilingual plugins. For WooCommerce stores, it can create cleaner product and category URLs, including formats that omit default path segments or incorporate SKUs.
Permalink Manager automatically redirects old URLs to new ones to help prevent broken links and 404 errors, and users can configure additional redirects.
