Personal Ponies Florida is a volunteer-led organization dedicated to bringing joy and connection to children, veterans, and communities across Florida through interactions with miniature ponies. Its mission grew from founder Marianne Alexander’s belief that ponies could make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with special needs. After seeing the positive effect of ponies on her son, Sandra Seiden helped share that experience with other families facing challenges.
Since 2005, the organization has provided a variety of therapeutic services at no charge to children in South Florida. Its programs use pony visits and interactions to offer encouragement, smiles, and memorable experiences. Personal Ponies Florida also supports veterans and the wider community through its outreach programs.
The organization operates with an all-volunteer staff and relies entirely on donations to fund its work. It invites community members to contribute, volunteer, and learn more about its programs and stories. Based in Boca Raton, Personal Ponies Florida works to make pony interactions a source of connection and happiness for people who may benefit from them.
