About Perspectives Film Festival
Perspectives Film Festival: Breakthroughs in Cinema is Singapore's first and longest-running student-led film festival. Organized by undergraduates from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) as part of a practicum conducted by the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information (WKWSCI), this festival showcases eclectic mixes of cinematic breakthroughs from around the world.
With a history spanning from 2008 to the present, Perspectives Film Festival has explored various themes throughout the years. From the exploration of truth in our virtual festival of 2020 to the examination of time in cinema for the 15th anniversary in 2022, each edition of the festival offers unique perspectives and thought-provoking films.
The festival features a diverse range of films, including award-winning works, independent cinema, films of controversy, and genre-specific programs. From documentaries to surrealism, the festival offers a rich selection of films that captivate and challenge audiences.
