Petran Hevostoiminta

Petran Hevostoiminta is a horse and nature-based services provider in Tyrnävä, a peaceful rural area a short distance from Oulu, Finland. Its stable is home to three Finnish horses and other farm animals, creating a setting for experiences throughout the year. The business offers horse-drawn rides for weddings, celebrations, anniversaries and events, with sleigh rides in winter and carriage rides in summer. Other activities include nature trips, trail riding and led pony rides. Services can also be arranged at clients’ own locations, including care homes, day-care centres and service units.

Petran Hevostoiminta provides professional social pedagogical horse activities for children, young people and adults. Its services are especially suited to people who need additional support, including those receiving mental health or substance-use rehabilitation, people with intellectual disabilities and the long-term unemployed. Guided Terveysmetsä wellbeing walks are available to individuals and groups, including for workplace wellbeing days. The nature- and animal-assisted services hold Green Care Finland’s LuontoVoima quality label, reflecting professional, safe and responsible practice.
