Pohjolan Eläintuhkaus – PETU Oy is a pet crematorium based in Kokkola, Finland, offering respectful support to owners saying goodbye to a beloved animal. The company crem ates dogs, cats, rabbits and other small pets, as well as horses. It can arrange collection from veterinary clinics or homes, with service generally covering an area around 150–200 kilometres from Kokkola; longer-distance collection may be agreed separately. A mobile veterinarian is also available through a partner service for home euthanasia, and PETU can help coordinate the practical arrangements that follow.
Customers can choose to have their pet’s ashes returned or select a memorial cremation without ash return. The company offers a range of keepsakes to help preserve a pet’s memory, including ceramic, wooden and metal urns, small memorial jewellery, engraved memorial stones and urn plaques. A biodegradable linen bag is available for ashes as an alternative to an urn. PETU emphasizes warmth, dignity and careful handling, allowing owners to focus on farewells and remembrance.
